Sermon for March 3rd, 2019 The word transfigured means, “to transform into something more beautiful or elevated.” Today we see the story of Jesus being transfigured. Jesus gives the disciples a snapshot of His glory. The word translated, “transfigured” is the same word that we get “metamorphosis” from “Meta” means “to change” and “morph” means “form.” Jesus in that moment changed his form to a glorified being. Just like a caterpillar going through metamorphosis to become a butterfly. Peter, James and John got a glimpse of the glorified Jesus as He would look in eternity. What impact does the transfiguration have on us today? Listen to the message today and be challenged by God’s Word.
