Sermon for March 31st, 2019 The Crucified Life Walk the road of Calvary with Jesus. Along the way, you will discover what areas of your life are stumbling blocks and how dying to self will enable you to rise to new life with Him. What better time to set out on that journey than the Lenten season? The Crucified Life series will examine human suffering as it is mirrored in Christ’s suffering on the cross and what His seven last words say to a hurting world. Find incredible insights into these words as Jesus teaches us, even in death, how we can use our suffering and triumph over it for His glory. “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”-Galatians 2:20 Week 4: Distress Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty.” -John 19:28 While Jesus was on the cross was he going through a checklist of items that he needed to fulfill before death…kinda of like a bucket list? John points out that when Jesus said this he was fulfilling Scripture. What else can we learn today from Jesus saying, “I am thirsty?” Listen to the message today and be challenged by God’s Word.
